Henrik Stenson is a fantastic golfer with a Major championship to his name, winning the 2016 Open Championship. In addition, Stenson has picked up 29 PGA Tour wins and is a member of five Ryder Cup teams, winning twice. At 41 years old, Stenson still has time to add more Majors to his name.

Phil Mickelson finally won the one tournament he was most famous for coming second in, The Masters. With five PGA Tour wins and 42 runner-ups, Mickelson has been a dominant force in the sport. However, it’s hard to rank him any higher given his age at 48 and lack of recent success.
7. Brooks Koepka
Brooks Koepka is another young, strong player who has started winning PGA Tour events in recent years. He has won four titles, including two US Opens and one PGA Championship. It won’t be too long until Koepka is challenging for all the Majors with continued hard work and dedication.

Rickie Fowler has been playing on the PGA Tour for over ten years now, but he hasn’t managed to win more than five tournaments in a single season. His best year was 2014, when he won five events. However, Fowler still has time on his side at only 30 years old, so maybe he’ll have a big season soon and become a dominant force in the future.

Jordan Spieth is one of the most accomplished young golfers out there, and despite his age (25) and relatively short career, he has already won three Majors. Spieth has also picked up eight PGA Tour victories and is also a two-time Presidents Cup champion. While Spieth has had a tough year so far, it’s only a matter of time until he starts clicking and goes back to his best.

Justin Thomas has been a top golfer for a few years now and deserved the PGA Tour Player of the Year award he picked up in 2017. Thomas has won 14 tournaments and is a Major winner, winning the PGA Championship in 2017. Along with Johnson and Spieth, Thomas is expected to be a future dominant force in the game.
3. Rory McIlroy
Rory McIlroy has been in the mix for significant titles for a long time now. He’s won four Majors and picked up 28 PGA Tour wins; however, he hasn’t added a Major in five years. Even so, McIlroy is still only 28 and has time on his side to add more Majors to his career total.

Jason Day was the number one ranked golfer globally for a long time, but since 2016 has dropped down to number two. However, he still plays one of the best golfers in the world and has won 19 PGA Tour events. Day has also had success in the Majors, with wins at the US Open in 2015 and The Players Championship in 2011. One of Day’s best traits is his fantastic ability to bounce back with sudden and unexpected wins; to watch whether he can return to the top rank will be interesting.
1. Dustin Johnson
Dustin Johnson is the number one player in the world right now. He’s been dominating since his first win at the Byron Nelson Championship in 2007. Johnson has amassed 24 PGA Tour wins and plays in nine Ryder Cups for the United States, winning two points. His most tremendous career success came in 2016 when he won the US Open and PGA Championship for his first major titles. However, Johnson is still young at 32 years old, so his best years are still to come.
