Making a sequel box office hit can be pretty difficult. For starters, you’ve got to repeat the success of the first movie. 9. Skyfall (2012)
This is one probably the best James Bond movie out there. It takes into account the first 50 years of Bong and shows him in a refreshing light. However, the film could do a bit more to become better but it’s still some of the best action of all the movies. The director manages to bring the original cinematic in 007.
8. Toy Story 2 (1999)
The movie got rid of the hand-drawn animation, which is bad because hand-drawn is a very different way to make a movie. If you look at Toy Story, you would see just how good everything is. The facial expressions, the effortless flow and the movements were flawless. However, Toy Story 2 accomplished all that and more, despite getting rid of the hand-drawn animation. In fact, the story was better, and so was the animation.
7. The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King (2003)
The Return of the King was the Best Picture Oscar and it truly deserved the award. There was action, adventure and everything else you could think to. Although some people might argue that the first movie was better, it’s clear that The Return of the King was a better film and wrapped up the trilogy on a good note.
6. The Dark Knight (2008)
This one is Christopher Nolan’s superhero classic. It is an A-list cast headed by Christian Bale, who plays Batman. However, the late Heath Ledger plays a joker, which definitely gives this movie an edge. However, Nolan’s skills make this movie a success.
5. Terminator 2 (1991)
It first resulted in mixed reviews, but now it is being claimed a master-piece. Linda Hamilton and Ah-nuld’s Terminator come together to fight T-1000. he has come to kill Linda’s son. The special effects are spectacular, and it has everything a 21st-century movie could possibly need.
4. The Empire Strikes Back (1980)
It’s probably the best Star Wars movie. The characters become human, and the revelation of I am your father comes in a way that humanizes the evil Vader. Luke is shown as a potential hero who is very intelligent. The movie has definitely outdone itself and should be watched.
3. Before Sunset 2 (2004)
It shows love, family life, and conversation. In this movie, people were rooting for the main character to cheat on his wife more than in any other movie. The best part is that the movie was somewhat improvised based on the main character’s experiences. It makes you question if you can love someone in the forever sense. It keeps you guessing till the end.
2. Kill Bill 2 (2004)
The bride is back…well, she never left to begin with. But she is out for blood, and in this movie, she gets it by killing Bill. However, she realizes that the baby she thought was dead was alive and under Bill’s care. It’s bold, vibrant, and has just the right amount of gore. Definitely give this a watch.
1. Godfather 2 (1974)
